Finally registered with deviantart... had been lurking around and admiring all of the work on here for quite some time. So far I have only submitted some of the photos I had online since there is something wrong with my ibook's ethernet port and the old wireless router is just that...old. So I am forced to use my boyfriend's PC. I hope to submit more work shortly - especially some of my recent drawings I've been working on as well as some of the jewelry I've made.

I don't consider myself very artistic but every time I sit down to create something, I'm usually pretty happy with the results. I just hope over time I will improve. I go through phases of motivation. A while back (february time) the annual gem show came through Tucson and I went nuts purchasing all kinds of pendants and glass beads. I made a good amount of necklaces - at least 8 - for myself but haven't really touched the materials since. The last couple weeks I pulled out my prismacolor pencils and got down on a piece and the other day I decided to buy a pad of black paper and pack of 24 pastels. Those really are a bitch to work with. So these pieces I will put up soon.

I hope to meet other artists that can help me acquire new techniques. I would love to get into some diy clothing and would especially love to design my own shoes! - not from scratch - just some basic white vans or something and paint on them.

I also love taking photos! My camera isn't anything professional, and while I would LOVE to have some sort of professional camera - I think the canon powershot I have is doing alright for now. I usually adjust most of my photos in iphoto and that does alright for me. I enjoy nature and photographing nature. The desert and the beach are my favorite spots but that is only because that is where I live and travel to the most. I am sure that if I were to live in a forest or near woods I would enjoy photographing any of that.
